MogMates Community Guidelines

Effective Date: June 19, 2026

MogMates is a platform for spreading positivity, sparking conversation around personal development, and encouraging accountability in people's growth journeys. The app uses moderated social competition, profile photos, head-to-head battles, votes, friends, leaderboards, and community features to make growth feel social, motivating, and fun.

These Community Guidelines explain what is allowed, what is not allowed, and how we handle reports and enforcement so MogMates can remain a safe and constructive place to participate.

Community Guidelines Overview

These guidelines apply to all content, profiles, photos, usernames, messages, friend interactions, votes, leaderboard activity, reports, and other use of MogMates. By using MogMates, you agree to follow these guidelines and help keep the platform safe, respectful, and enjoyable.

MogMates may remove content or restrict accounts when we believe a user has violated these guidelines, our Terms of Service, applicable law, or the safety of the community. Content may be removed even if it is not specifically listed below.

Our Community Standards

MogMates is designed for good-faith social competition. Users are expected to:

• Treat others respectfully.
• Participate honestly and in good faith.
• Upload authentic photos that they have the right to use.
• Follow all applicable laws.
• Respect the privacy, dignity, and safety of others.

Ranking, voting, and leaderboard features should not be used to harass, shame, threaten, or target another person. Keep competition focused on the app experience, not personal attacks.

Prohibited Content

The following content is not allowed on MogMates:

• Nudity, sexual content, pornographic content, or sexually suggestive imagery.
• Graphic violence, gore, or content intended to shock or disturb users.
• Self-harm content, including encouragement, instructions, or graphic depictions of self-harm or suicide.
• Illegal content or content that promotes illegal activity.
• Drug-related content, including promotion, sale, or misuse of illegal drugs or controlled substances.
• Weapons displayed in a way that threatens, intimidates, glorifies violence, or implies harm toward others.
• Hate symbols, extremist symbols, or content promoting hatred or violence against protected groups.
• Harassing, threatening, degrading, or humiliating content.
• Content that impersonates another person, brand, organization, or public figure.
• Spam, scams, fraudulent content, misleading promotions, or deceptive links.
• Copyright infringement or content uploaded without permission from the rights holder.
• Content involving minors that violates safety standards, exploits minors, sexualizes minors, endangers minors, or otherwise fails to meet MogMates child safety requirements.

This list is not exhaustive. MogMates may remove content that we believe creates safety, legal, privacy, moderation, or community risks, even if the content is not specifically named in these guidelines.

Prohibited Behavior

The following behavior is not allowed on MogMates:

• Bullying, harassment, hate speech, threats, stalking, or intimidation.
• Doxxing, including sharing or threatening to share private personal information.
• Extortion, blackmail, coercion, or attempts to pressure users into doing something against their will.
• Catfishing, impersonation, or pretending to be someone else.
• Coordinated abuse, brigading, dogpiling, or encouraging others to target a user.
• Vote manipulation, ranking manipulation, account farming, automated voting, or other attempts to interfere with fair competition.
• Circumventing bans, restrictions, blocks, or moderation actions.
• Creating alternate accounts to evade moderation, continue prohibited behavior, manipulate votes, or bypass account limits.

Reporting Violations

If you see content or behavior that may violate these guidelines, report it immediately. MogMates provides tools for users to:

• Report content, including photos, profiles, and other user-generated material.
• Report users who are abusive, unsafe, fraudulent, or violating platform rules.
• Block users when they do not want further interaction.

Moderation & Enforcement

MogMates uses a combination of safety systems and human review to moderate user-generated content, including:

• Automated photo screening.
• User reporting systems.
• Manual moderation review.

We aim to review reports within 24 hours whenever reasonably possible. Some reports may require additional time depending on complexity, volume, safety concerns, or the need for further investigation.

Possible enforcement actions

Depending on the violation, moderators may take one or more actions, including:

• Removing content.
• Restricting features.
• Suspending accounts.
• Permanently banning accounts.

We may also preserve information, cooperate with legal authorities, or report content when required by law or necessary for user safety.

Child Safety

Users may not upload, share, solicit, request, promote, or distribute exploitative content involving minors. This includes sexualized imagery of minors, attempts to obtain such material, grooming behavior, or any content that places a minor at risk.

Any suspected CSAM is immediately removed and reported to appropriate authorities where required by law. Users must meet MogMates' minimum age requirements to use the platform, and accounts that do not meet those requirements may be removed.

If a child is in immediate danger

If you believe a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement. You may also report child exploitation concerns to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at CyberTipline.org.

Account Suspension & Termination

MogMates may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines, our Terms of Service, or applicable law. Enforcement may depend on the severity, context, pattern, and safety risk of the violation.

Severe violations may result in immediate permanent bans without warning. Severe violations include, but are not limited to, CSAM, sexual exploitation, credible threats, doxxing, extortion, illegal activity, serious harassment, ban evasion, or attempts to manipulate platform systems at scale.

Appeals

If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted by mistake, you may submit an appeal by emailing [email protected].

Please include the email address associated with your account, your username if available, a short description of the action you are appealing, and any context you believe we should review. Appeals are reviewed in good faith, but submitting an appeal does not guarantee reinstatement.

Effective Date

These Community Guidelines are effective as of June 19, 2026. We may update these guidelines from time to time. Continued use of MogMates after updates means you agree to follow the updated guidelines.
